I'm back! & London Fashion Weekend

Yes, it has been a while since I have posted anything on Random; Life; Dream and it isn't as if I haven't had any time either! I just haven't thought of anything to post and to be honest I am a little too addicted to Facebook to be doing anything else. However, as seen as I have just returned (not really - Saturday night; now Monday afternoon) from London Fashion Weekend I am ready to start blogging again. Watch this space for not blogging for another few months! It will most likely happen!

So, the story of London Fashion Weekend started a few months ago when a very fashion forward friend of mine decided to go to London Fashion Weekend and invite a few of us to travel down and get all of Spring 2010 fashion statements along with her.

Well, Friday afternoon/night was very busy for moi and seriously, it made me want to have a very busy lifestyle of running between appointments (in various countries please!). I finished college at half two and had to catch the 2.36 bus over to Liverpool for a job interview for Birkenhead Primark. Why? do you ask? Well, apparently, they didn't have the office space in Birkenhead due to a whole new layout and look for Primark and building work. Therefore, it was Faye off to Liverpool and I was half an hour early!! You can't deny my reliability now. So, I sat, waiting until half three for my interview. It went well I thought, just have to wait until sometime this week to see if I actually get the job! I hope so. Need money to pay for a huge girly holiday to Turkey with nine of my friends!! VERY excited about this!!

Back to the story; after my interview, I had to dash to the bus stop to get the bus back over from Liverpool and go home to pack for London!! I admit, I was half done and it was only for one night but it sounds so dramatic and great! I was running late and there was a queue due to rush hour. So, after ten minutes sitting in traffic and two phone calls off my friends: "Where are you?"; "Are you in the car?"; "How long will you be?"; "Go to the train station."; "Hurry!" I got there and ran to my friends car. Her mum took us over to Liverpool and we had twenty five minutes until the train left so I wasn't that bad at all!

On the train: Picture this: five very excited, loud girls in the quiet zone. I, being a little bit of a hyperactive and a person who giggles and laughs like a child being among this group makes me feel sorry for the other traveller's who blatantly wanted a peaceful journey. As IF they got that quiet, peaceful journey, Did not happen for them, Selfish, I know, but going to London Fashion Weekend!! London for only the second time in my life!! I was excited.

Friday night in London: There were six of us, a friend of a friend met us there in Euston Station. Three of us were adament to go out. One wanted to watch 'Top Gun'. Once she was changed, she was ready to go! So, we got changed and walked up (eventually) to our friend's room and said that we wanted to go out and find something to eat. We found Pizza Hut. I hadn't been in years and in the past four days, I will have gone four times (going tonight aswell). Got some alcohol on the way back from the shop, cheap though - £15 for a bottle of Malibu!!! Was not going to pay that much! So we got back to my room and we played an old game called 'Tell Me'. Classic and hilarious! Two of us went up to their room, so there were the four (admittedly more loud girls). So loud that at half two in the morning, the receptionist knocked on our door. We didn't answer. Instead, I jumped in the shower to hide followed by the three others! The both times that I have been to London, that has happened. Me and London = a very bad idea, I think. But I love it too much!! After that we decided it was best to go to bed as we had a long day in the morning.

Saturday: Getting up and ready was hard and I had to drag my (although small) vanity case around London with me all day!! We were late to Somerset House due to building work in the tube and boy was it cramped in there! I think that I am definitely a bit of a claustrophobic. Doesn't stop me from loving London though.

The catwalk, hosted by Louise Roe, was amazing! The floral elements of Candy Rock and the Vintage style were beautiful. I wanted all the clothes and if I could afford them, I would. A subscription from Elle magazine with FREE(!!!) euphoria perfume worth £42 and a mini notebook, tee and bag all for £21.60 was bought, thanks to the padre giving me an extra £20 and the wise words of my mother on the phone to me saying that it was a very good deal!

A very tiring day. Wanted to go to sleep but we had another five hours until the train home so off to Covent Gardens (which I kept calling Convent - Shame) we went. Hunger pains were also among us all, so, after trying to find a cheap cafe of some sort, we ended up in Pizza Hut again, but the pizza was fab and so was the garlic bread and the service by a young waiter also.

Back to the train station, another journey in the quiet zone which admittedly, we were all a lot more quieter due to the long weekend and feeling a little bit sick. I think my stomach ache was due to the fact that after trying to run down the train, I got caught in the sliding door and i thought that it was going to squash me. Thank god for my strong-ish arms to push the door away! Nearly fell into a young fellows lap also. Oops! Watched The Hangover on the way back aswell. My laugh made others laugh.

Tonight: A trip to Pizza Hut and the cinema over in Liverpool tonight of which I have to leave my house in twenty minutes to walk to my friend's house. The Lovely Bones!! I shall review when I return home later.
