... This is what happens to a Scouse girl who moves to a university in London... her blog becomes neglected!!
Yes, I moved to London five months ago and I cannot believe I've been here for five months! It's weird! Like seriously... W.E.I.R.D! Everything is so hectic... well, to be honest, I probably could keep up to date with blogging as all my free time is spent on a laptop anyway because I'm obsessed with Facebook!
Then again, disaster happened a few months back, my laptop broke! I do not know how that happened and I wish that I did! Seriously... I need it fixed! A good flatmate has lended me her old one which just so happens to be the same as my old one which is fabb so I know all the ins and outs of it.
Think i may start a new blog :)
Start a fresh..

New Home... New Fashion
Yesterday, I moved into Roehampton University and I am sitting in my own room on a floor full of girls (with one guy - one might call him lucky, others... not so much). Yes, it is Greater London therefore, let the individuality of the streets of London begin!
Already, I have seen so many stylish teens in my uni. Just looking across the field before... Literally covered with people of diverse cultures, each with their own USP (unique style point) and it is amazing to me that there is so much diversity! I am going to have fun looking at all the different trends and I can never say that anyone on this campus is boring! It's only my second day here and I know that it rocks!
Next... actually going to Central London! It is very exciting times!!
Also, I would like to thank LOOKVILLE for inviting me to join their website to give fashion adivce and share tips. Sometimes I feel like no-one reads this blog but it's great (and seriously puts a smile on my face!) that people have come across this blog and actually found it interesting!
Mucho love,
La Chica.

Dedicated to Gemma Doughty
This blog is dedicated my number one reader as I found out last night! She is the sister on Facebook and my fellow fan of Vampire Diaries (yeah.. she's the one that sent me the link to catch up with America!).
But... I haven't blogged in a while and there has been so MUCH that has happened in the past few weeks since the Land of the Turks!
First of all... there was the best holiday of my life with my cousin! Tenerife... La Isla Amable. You could say it is my favourite place in the world and also my second home! One week of drinking, dancing and (nearly) dying... thanks to an excessive amount of alcohol consumed. Needless to say, from that description, you have to know that it was a good holiday!
The night time of my holiday started off as watching Big Brother at 10pm and at the same time, opening the cheapest bottle of vodka from the supermarket. After an hour of 'OMG' goss from the house, we would get ready to the ipod which consisted of the newest Summer 2010 music (that I now can't listen to without thinking of Tenerife)! Then, more drinking. Then, our Cornish friends would come to visit and drink with us. Finally, at about half past midnight (no Cinderella curfew for us) we would go and jump in the taxi and head to Mett Bar for a fishbowl! A lot of alcohol consumption in just one fishbowl. A dance on the poles, head to Linker's and dance some more! At 4am, Lineker's and Mett Bar closed, so it was off to either Tramps or Rags for an hour.
Proudest moment. My first day, I woke up at 2.30am to travel to the airport and travel to Tenerife. I had no sleep in the day and I went out that night and didn't return back to the hotel until 5.30am Wednesday morning. That is 27 hours without sleep and I LOVE my sleep!
It was so sad to leave! Especially as we had a new little family! Because of this amazing holiday, my cousin and I are returning next year for the whole of the summer! June through to August and Tenerife will not know what has hit them! The only thing is... money. We need to raise around about £2500 for the entire summer which includes accomodation, flights and spends! We can do it, because nothing is stopping us from returning to our favourite place.
BIG BROTHER! 'I love it!' 'I'm buzzin!' Also, in Tenerife, we adopted Josie's bristolian accent regarding the words: 'Me mucker' and 'Me loverr' I LOVE BB! I'm currently catching up with all the action! Especially between John James and Josie!
And lastly, right now my lunch is in the oven... a beautful steak pie! My stomach is rumbling! I cannot wait to savour the gorgeous gravy and awesome steak! Mmmm.... very hungry.

Land of the Turks
I'm still tired from Turkey! And I have a 6am flight to Tenerife tomorrow morning! Busy, busy, busy.
Turkey was amazing! Beyond words! I loved it! True, there were hiccups including the norm that is to be expected on a girls holiday, especially with ten girls. Also, the typical (unlucky) holiday hiccups including a four hour delay on departure and a further four hour delay to come home including an hour sitting on the plane! And when you want to come home... you seriously want your own bed.
Market Day and Galaxy Bar were the highlights of my holiday. Galaxy Bar was the place where we had our nights out and they loved us so much that we all got a free t-shirt with 'Galaxy Girl' on the back, or there was the option of the men's tee which is hilarious - one of those double images. Very rude. And the market day... I was truly in my element of haggling and bartering for the cheapest prices and I got them! I spent about 50-60TL when some of my mates spent 200TL.
But... that was one holiday and now I have to pack for another and I swear that I am going to take less things... I doubt it! I've bought four new outfits, one even from Topshop! I am no longer a Topshop virgin! I really wanted this outfit - fitted crop top, high-waisted shorts and eventually my mum found the top! I was ecstatic. Also, a maxi dress, a Selfridge's dress and a 50s jumpsuit to add to the collection.
Currently, I'm updating my ipod with the new Now 76 album which has at least three of the Turkey songs on it! It'll keep me amused throughout the journey as well as the third installment of the book series starring Ever Moore and Damon in an immortal love story. Love. It.

Packed!
I wish my suitcase looked like that...
But, mines not that bad and it shouldn't be as I have just spent the last two hours packing it! I didn't think that it would take that long to pack for one week, especially as my mum had already seperated my toileteries into four seperate clear bags! I still have things to do like change my money into Lira and buy a kaftan and some flip flops because I cannot find mine ANYWHERE!
More excited now and also starving as I haven't had any lunch yet. I'm still in my PJs and I have to go into town and then a thing at school for my friends textile piece! I always leave things until last minute!

Holiday Time!
Summer is here!
I am a very lucky lady concerning the holiday department. In two days I will be on a plane jetting to Turkey with nine of my close girlfriends. It is very exciting indeed and on Saturday, I made the list of what I am to take... Seven night outfits (as we're staying for a week) which consist of:
Denim shorts & White strapless top
Brown shorts & Orange strapless top
Sailor Playsuit (brand new from Matalan!)
Two Primarni dresses
Orange & Cream Dress
Black raa raa skirt & Purple top
So, those are my night time outfits for Turkey, combined with flats as we decided that we weren't taking heels. If people decide to, it's their holiday as much as mine and quite frankly, I don't want any arguments on this one as
it is my first girls holiday with an amazing group of girls.
I return on the 14th and six days later, I will be in the airport again with the destination of La Isla Amable... Tenerife. My second home. I'm extremely lucky with this one as my cousin said in passing that I should go with her when she returned later in the Summer and it is actually happening! It didn't seem real until I actually booked the flights. That was only last weekend, I think. Now, I just need to make sure that I have the holiday booked off work, but, even if I don't, I'm going. It is so exciting! I haven't decided what I'm taking there yet, but, it is party non-stop and I have new heels. Yes, this holiday is one where I am taking heels. My feet are going to hate me because it's all on a steep hill that kill your legs in flip flops... I only live once.

Twenty Fifth June, Two Thousand and Ten.
A lot to discuss in this post today. Well, only two major things really...
Firstly, something happy and exciting... I have finally finished my exams! I am done with school forver! Unless I don't get the grades I need for Roehampton, then I'm screwed. But, I'm not thinking like that. The exam was okay, I suppose, but this last week I have been breathing Spanish, so I'm having a little break from it.
Michael Jackson
If you don't know what day it is today, then I, personally, am ashamed. Of course it is the anniversary of the death of the King of Pop. Yes, it has been a year to the day that I was in London for the first time ever (and now I'm going to be living there in September!) where we found out the dreaded, shocking and truly unbelievable news of MJ's death. It's true that I didn't believe it when a friend of mine received a text stating the horrible fact.
A close friend of mine always says that the memory of MJ's death is my face the next morning watching the rerun of Jackson's videos on the news. Apparently, I looked like I was about to cry. The next day, I did.
So, that was when he died. Since then, I have obtained the entire collection of his albums, admittedly not the various compilations of the top ten or top twenty, but I have every song he ever released. Also, my mum and dad bought me the classic 'This Is It' DVD that I (again admittedly) missed in the cinema.
He has been so influencial in my life as an artist, that I got his song lyrics tattooed on my skin and I continually listen to his music every day. Most importantly, his song 'Keep the Faith' has been a mantra for my exams and it has calmed my nerves (just slightly) every time. For that, I thank him... for making a difference in my life.
